XT: Tomorrow is Friday, isn't that great!
YY: What's so great about Fridays?
XT: My favorite sports class is held on Fridays.
YY: Huh? You like sports class?
XT: Yep, for this semester's sports class, we are
learning wushu. That's
precisely my hobby.
YY: Xin Tao, haven't you been practicing wushu since young? It has been so many years already, don't you get tired of it?
XT: If it's something we truly love doing, we won't get fed up of it.
YY: Sigh, I don't have the slightest clue about wushu. To me, it's all about kicking and punching.
XT: Saying it like this is not any different from insulting wushu. Wushu is our national
martial art; it is the
traditional sports event of our country; it is one of the
outstandingculturalheritage of the Chinese people. Wushu is wide-ranging and profound, how can you say that it's all about kicking and punching?
YY: I am wrong, I have erred. Oh yes, Xin Tao, I heard that you're really good at Taijiquan. You even represented our school for the Taijiquan
competition last semester.
XT: I
learned Taijiquan from my
grandpa [lit.
paternal grandfather]. It's merely because I train
diligently at it so my Taijiquan appears to be more proficient than the average person's.
YY: You're so modest. I want to take you as my teacher. Would you accept me as your disciple?
XT: That's out of the question. I don't easily take disciples, especially
female disciples.
