我的身体有一个小毛病——偶尔后背会疼，这是因为我十几岁的时候有一天去滑冰，不小心摔倒了。之后，背部开始发炎，现在偶尔还会痛。
        开始的时候吃西药，就是止疼药。后来一个朋友跟我说她曾经有同样的毛病，去看了一个中医医生，吃了一段时间的中药，然后病就治好了。
        我在国外的时候从来没有听说过关于中药的事情。到了中国之后，偶尔朋友会把一些中药塞到我嘴里面，说这样可以养生，但是没有什么明显效果，所以我原来不太相信中药。
        我现在已经开始相信中药了，虽然中医医生给我开的药非常非常非常不好吃，而且到现在还没有治好我后背的毛病，但是他给我开的药治好了我的身体别的小毛病。所以，who knows, 我会坚持每天恶心几个分钟，看看将来有没有更明显的效果。
        我今天想提到另外一个东西，是我觉得特别神奇的一种中药。我不是说它的效果很神奇，因为我从来没有吃过，我只是说它本身很神奇。这种药叫"冬虫夏草"，医生跟我说，这味药冬天的时候是虫子，夏天是草，而且价格很贵（大概一个草根这么大的就需要200块钱）。因为这个药好像只能在西藏生长，而且它只能在自然的环境下存活。我觉得好神奇，一只虫子怎么能成为一棵植物？

My body has a small problem. My back aches occasionally, because I once fell down during skating when I was a teenager. After that, my back got inflamed. Now it still aches occasionally. 
At first, I took western medicine, to be specific, painkillers. Then a friend told me that she once had the similar problem. She went to see a doctor of TCM. After taking Chinese medicine for a while, she was cured. 
I never heard about Chinese medicine when I was abroad. After I came to China, my friends sometimes gave me some Chinese medicine to chew. They told me that it was good for health. But I never felt any difference. Therefore, I did not really believe in Chinese medicine. 
But now I firmly believe in Chinese medicine. Although the medicine prescribed by my doctor was not tasty at all and it still had not cured my back ache yet, it did cure my other problems. Therefore, I'm willing to force myself to suffer the nausea for a few minutes every time I have to take the medicine. Who knows, there might be an obvious improvement in the future. 
I also want to mention another thing, which is a type of Chinese medicine amazing me a lot. I don't mean that its effect is great, because I never try it. I just want to say that it is an incredible creature itself. It is called "冬虫夏草" (cordyceps sinensis). My doctor told me that it is a worm in winter and grass in summer and it is very pricy. (One as big as a grass root would cost 200 RMB.) It is said this kind of medicine only grows in Tibet and it can only grow in a natural environment. How amazing! Who can imagine a plant transformed from a worm? !
