When I went to Bangkok on business, it happened to be its rain season. It was very hot and humid. According to the local people, there were bound to be two rounds of rains every day, one in the late afternoon, the other in the midnight.
We came across a midnight rain when we arrived at Bangkok. And during the following week, we lived together with the two rounds of rains every day.
Rains there poured down in showers. It could be sunny now and rainy then. It could be rainy here and sunny miles away. It's as if when you couldn't bear the burning sun, you could draw a sheet of cloud and call for a shower to get a cool moment.
So Bangkokers do not worry about rains as much as Beijingers. They seldom watch weather forecast before going out or take an umbrella in case it rains. If it rains heavily, they will find a shelter nearby to wait till it stops, for it seldom rains long. Everybody seems at ease with the rain and enjoys it when it comes.
If we could face the rainy days in our lives so much at ease, what an enjoyable thing it is!
