今天是端午节，我和爸爸到小区的花园里观察那里的花。
　　有一种红色的花，花朵比较大，直径大约是6-10厘米，花头有的是一朵，有的是一簇；叶子边缘有细小的锯齿，叶脉很清晰；花茎是绿色的，上面长着毛茸茸的刺，老茎是紫红色的，再老一些的茎还发灰；花茎越长越粗，刺也越长越大。这种花叫月季。

Today was the Dragon Boat Festival. My father and I went to observe the flowers in the garden in our community.

One kind of red flowers had relatively big petals. The diameter of each flower was about 6 to 10 cm. One bloom or a bundle of them grew on the stem. The leaves had tiny saw tooth on the edge and the vein of the leaves could be seen clearly. The stems were green with flurry thorns. The old stems were purple. Some even older ones looked even grey. The longer and thicker the stems were, the longer and bigger the thorns were. This kind of flowers was called China rose.

　　来到花坛前面，我们看到另一种很类似的花。它的花朵是粉红色的，比较小，直径大约是3-4厘米，花朵大都是一簇一簇的，每簇大约有6、7个；叶子上也有细小的锯齿，花茎上的刺很稀疏、很大，老茎是灰色的。这种花叫蔷薇。

When we came to the terrace, we saw a similar kind. The flowers were pink and they were smaller. The diameter of the petals was about 3 to 4 cm. The flowers all clustered together. Each bundle had 6 to 7 blooms. The leaves also had tiny saw tooth on the edge. There were only a few thorns on the stems. The old stems were grey. This kind of flowers was called rose.

　　我发现这两种花虽然长得很相似，但也有不同的地方，只要你能细心观察，认真发现，就一定能找到它们的不同之处。

I found that although the two kinds of flowers looked similar, they were different. If you observe them carefully enough, you would certainly find the difference.
