兴奋的一天

        今天我参加了军训夏令营。到了军分区训练基地后，老师先让我们整理内务，把床单铺好，被子叠成豆腐块。
        我们很快铺好了床单，老师开始教我们叠"豆腐块"被子。老师先是告诉我们叠被子的诀窍 "叠三叠，切两切"，接着教了我们具体的步骤。我按照老师说的去做：被子纵向叠成三层长条状；从一侧起，先用手量出三柞，在最后一柞的边缘，用力画一条凹线，用手托住量好的被子折叠过来，把折边弄直了，用手勾勾角，然后一只手在被子里面，一只手在被子外面，把折面抚平；另一边也是这样叠，当两边都叠完了，在被子中间用两只手夹出一条突起的线，用手把一边折好的被子托起，沿这条线翻过来放到另一边上，"豆腐块"被子就叠好了。
        晚上，我躺在床上和段宇航讨论明天会有什么训练项目。我问："会不会有跑步测验？"他说："也许还有跳高训练。"我们不停地讨论着，怎么也睡不着，直到老师来了，我们才慢慢进入梦乡。

An Exciting Day

Today I joined the summer camp of military training. When we arrived at the training base in a military sub-district, the training officer made us organize our own room and belongings, smooth new sheets on beds and fold the quilt into a square form.
After we smoothed the new sheets on beds quickly, the officer began to instruct us how to fold the quilt into a square form like a piece of bean curd. He told us the knack was "making three folds and trimming twice" and then demonstrated the steps accordingly. I followed his instruction. Firstly, I made the quilt into a slim form by folding it three times, then measured three palms' length from one side and marked a furrow with the hand at its end; Next, I held the side of quilt measured and folded it along the furrow. Finally, I straightened the folding line with one hand in the quilt and the other in the outside. It was done with one side and the other side was also folded the same way. After folding both sides, I made a ridge with hands between them and put one side onto the other along the ridge. It was the third time of folding. A "piece of quilt bean curd" was then completed.  
In the evening, I chatted with Duan Yuhang about the training in the next day. I asked "Will there be a running test?" and he replied "Maybe we will have a high jumping exercise". We went on with this discussion and could not fall asleep until the officer came in to check.

艰苦的训练

        "嘟！嘟！嘟！......"起床的哨声吹响了，我一骨碌爬起来，迅速穿好了衣服，下楼集合，别的同学也都陆续跑下楼来。
        到了操场上，老师先介绍了我们的教官。老师身边站着一位个子高高的军人，很魁梧。老师说："这就是你们的教官，他姓董，以后叫他董教官就可以了。"
        董教官先把我们按大小个排了两队，然后让我们报数。报完了数，教官说："向右转，跑步走"，我们喊着口号"一二一，一二一"开始跑步。跑了一段路后，我的腿就像灌了铅似的，跑不动了，同学们也都一个个气喘吁吁的，直到我们跑的速度像走一样了，教官才让我们停下来。
        跑完步，老师让我们回到宿舍，洗脸洗手，等待吃饭。我们都躺在床上，谁也不动了。

The Hard Training

At the officer's whistle, I got up and dressed in a minute. I then ran downstairs to join the gathering with other students. 
On the training ground, the officer first introduced to us our military instructor who was a tall and sturdy army man standing beside him. The officer said "This is your instructor Mr. Dong. You can call him Instructor Dong."
Instructor Dong divided us into two teams according to our heights and then asked us to number off. After that, he gave the order "Turning right, double march". We then ran as we shouted "121, 121..." After running for a few minutes, my legs became so heavy that I found it hard to go on any longer and the other students also gasped out of breath. However, we were told to keep on until we had been running at a walking speed.
After the running, the Instructor allowed us to go back to the dorm. We then washed and waited for the lunch time. We were so exhausted that none of us had the strength to lift a hand.

早餐

我们刚刷完牙，洗完脸，集合的哨声又吹响了，我们都跑下去集合。
        教官说："向右转，齐步走。"我们迈着整齐的步伐，跟在教官后，来到了楼后面的一间房子里。教官说："以后大家就在这里吃饭。"
        今天的早餐非常丰盛，有茶叶蛋、大饼、小米稀饭，还有几盘小咸菜和馒头。老师给我们每人舀上一碗稀饭，还要我们每人至少吃一个茶叶蛋和一块饼。我把一个茶叶蛋剥掉皮，咬了一口，呀，咸咸的，别说，还真挺好吃。
        很快，我吃完了早饭。老师说："吃完饭要自己去洗碗。"于是，我就拿着碗和筷子去厨房洗碗。我先用手把碗抹一遍，滴上几滴洗涤液搓一搓，用水冲得碗上没有泡泡了，再搓搓筷子，最后把它们都放到一个盆子里。
        一切收拾好后，我就回宿舍休息了。

Breakfast

No sooner had we finished the brushing and washing than the whistle for gathering was blown.
The Instructor commanded us to "Turn right, forward march". We then walked with strides and followed him to a room behind the building. He said to us "We will dine here from this day on."
The breakfast for today was bumper. There were tea eggs, pancakes and porridge along with pickles and steamed bread.
The officers handed out the porridge, and asked each of us to eat at least one tea egg and one pancake. I peeled the egg and had a bite. It was a little salty but tasted good.
Soon, I finished my eating. The officer then said "You have to wash your own bowls after breakfast". So, I took my bowl and chopsticks to the kitchen. I washed them with hands first, and then rubbed them with the detergent. After rinsing them all, I put the bowl with chopsticks into a big basin.
Having finished all this, I went back to my dorm and had a rest.
