                                 Rì mù cāngshān yuǎn，
                         日暮苍山远，

                               Tiān hán báiwū pín。
                         天寒白屋贫。
 
                                Cháimén wén quǎn fèi，
                         柴门闻犬吠，

                                 fēngxuě yè guī rén。
                         风雪夜归人。

诗词解析

        太阳落山，青色的山岭也渐渐地遥远。
        天寒地冻，覆雪的小屋显得更加贫穷。
        柴门刚到，就听到了声声急促的狗叫，
        风雪之夜，投宿的我竟有回家的感觉。
With the sun gone down, the green mountains seem to gradually move afar.
In the freezing weather, the snow-covered cottage appears even shabbier.
On getting to the house, I can hear the hasty barks of the dog.
At the night of wind and snow, I who lodge here temporarily can have an unexpected feeling like at home.
        这首诗描写的是在一个风雪交加的寒冷的夜晚，赶路的人在荒凉、萧条的山中投宿于一个贫苦人家的情景。这情景令人感觉到：在这么恶劣的环境中，即使是在一家贫苦的人家借宿，也会有象回家一样的感受觉。
The poem depicts the scene that a traveler in a desolate and dull mountain has to lodge in a poor cottage on a freezing night. He tried to convey the idea that in such bad conditions, a feeling at home can also be found by staying overnight in even a poor family.
