国际商品协定的中文解释

主要生产国与消费国就调节某种原料商品的产量及价格而达成的协定。生产国可能会协议以配额、囤积产出或减产等手段来限制出口。协议方的行动有时会由市场价格触及某一触发点(trigger price)所引发。此种协定通常只能取得有限的短期效果。

Commodity Agreement的英文解释

An agreement between producer nations to regulate the output and price of a particular commodity. Producers may agree to limit exports through a quota arrangement, stockpile production or reduce output or plantings. Sometimes action is prompted by market prices reaching a certain level, or trigger price. Commodity agreements rarely have more than limited, short-term success.
