四级精读做题策略

随着12月份四级考试的临近，很多考生到目前这个阶段都会变得心浮气躁，单词还没背，真题还没做，老师上课讲的内容也忘的差不多了，"我该怎么办？""这次考试能过吗？"一系列的问题在脑海中盘旋。甚至很多同学还没有走进考场就已经提前放弃了，事实上，只要努力永远不晚，希望各位同学能够坚持到12月17号，在最后这段时间里我们还有一些"灵丹妙药"送给大家，希望各位能够"配合治疗"。
一、
必考的"实验类"文章
近几年来实验类文章几乎每年都考，所以在这段时间请各位考生必须掌握实验类文章的解题方法。

实验目的和实验结论

文章中表示总结性词汇后面必是答案：

举例：2011年6月仔细阅读第一篇
57. What can we learn from some recent studies？

关键词：recent studies
定位：题干中some recent studies提示答案定位在第一段第一句话。对应原文：
Several recent studies have found that being randomly (随机地)
assigned to a roommate of another race can lead to increased
tolerance but also to a greater likelihood (可能性)of conflict.
解析：问题提问从最近的研究中我们可以了解到什么？第一段第一句中Several recent
studies found that...与题干对应，由此可知that后的就是recent studies的内容，即being
randomly assigned to a roommate of another race can lead to
increased tolerance but also to a greater likelihood of
conflict。其中"being randomly assigned to a roommate of another
race"对应了选项D中的"interracial lodging"，"can... but also..."说明了interracial
lodging是有利有弊的。因此D选项符合文意。
二、
必考的"转折词But"
江湖盛传，转折词提示文章主题。此言非虚。纵观2010年四级考试，四篇文章皆有转折词出没的痕迹。而且这四个转折都提示文章主题，分别直接或间接的对应不止文章中的一道题目。
举例：2010年12月仔细阅读第二篇文章。
首段转折：but the biggest longevity (长寿) boost seems to come from
marriage or an equivalent relationship.
该篇文章第一题
62.
William Farr's study and other studies show that _________.
A) social life provides an effective cure for illness
B) being sociable helps improve one's quality of life
C) women benefit more than men from marriage
D) marriage contributes a great deal to longevity
该篇文章第二题
63.
Linda Waite's studies support the idea that _________.
A) older men should quit smoking to stay healthy
B) marriage can help make up for ill health
C) the married are happier than the unmarried
D) unmarried people are likely to suffer in later life
文章主题句，最大的长寿来自于婚姻或与其相似的关系。62题正确答案，D选项，婚姻对长寿的贡献很大。63题正确答案，B选项，婚姻可以弥补不良的健康。两道题目正确答案都可以通过首段转折直接判断。
所以同学在平時练习和考试时，一定要关注转折词。
三、
出题顺序与行文顺序一致原则
这是四级阅读理解很重要的一个特点。对于仔细阅读来讲定位十分关键，但很多同学在解题时依然不能很准确的找到定位点，总是习惯于通过全篇文章来解题。而事实上，四级阅读理解的出题顺序与行文顺序是一致的，第一题定位在第一段，第二题、第三题以此往下类推，因为每篇文章的段落不等，所以在这里我们不能一概而论。而且四级阅读理解一般不会跨段做题，这一段解决完这一道题之后便可不用再读，以免浪费时间，考场上时间对于各位同学来讲也是非常重要的。所谓的考试考查的就是单位时间内各位同学的解题速度和准确率，所以没有必要在考场上来来回回的反复读一些无用的段落，阅读时一定要抓大放小，有的放矢，真正做到只读对我们有用的段落和句子。这一点请考生谨记！！
四、
正确答案多是文章的同义改写
举例：2011年6月仔细阅读第二篇
63. What do we learn about
the Forum's report from the passage?
A)

对应原文：

解析："the report drew criticism from some experts on climate and
risk"，这和A选项是完全相一致的，challenged是criticism的同义替换。而且整个选项内容与文章表述几乎是一致的，只要定位准确就很容易看出

about the Forum's report?
A) Its statistics look
embarrassing.
B) It is invalid in terms of
methodology.
C) It deserves our closest attention.
D) Its conclusion is purposely

对应原文：

解析：
选项中invalid 是flawed的同义替换， 我们可以很容易地选到B。
