A bunch of flowers which show affection for others can go a long way - even in the animal kingdom. Lizard love may also be touching.
Recently, Alexey Tymoshenko, a photographer from Ukraine, captured a romantic drama between two lizards.
A male sand lizard, perched on top of a plant, catches the eye of a female with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. After she carefully climbs up the plant to reach him, she accepts his gift and the pair form an almost perfect heart shape.
But to prove the course of true love never did run smooth, the female then dramatically slips and falls off the plant - only for her doting new partner to dive to her rescue and help her down.
Alexey took these pictures in the back of his parents' house.
He said "When I was a child one of my favorite things I used to do was play in the garden and watch the lizards. If you're friendly with them they are friendly with you, and now I can photograph them without them being afraid of me.
"But I never thought they could be so passionate and helpful to each other. It was amazing watching one drop and the male dive to catch her."
For the scene with the flower, Alexey said: "I'm not a specialist and don't know what it means but it really looked like one lizard is proposing."

近日，乌克兰摄影师阿克列谢•季莫申科拍摄到了两只蜥蜴的浪漫爱情故事。

一只雄蜥蜴爬到一株植物顶端，用一束鲜花吸引了雌蜥蜴的注意。雌蜥蜴小心翼翼地爬上去接受了对方的馈赠，它们两两相望形成一个近乎完美的心型。

但是爱情从来都不是"一帆风顺"的，雌蜥蜴突然从花枝上跌落，雄蜥蜴连忙拉住"女友"的"手"，来了个"英雄救美"。
季莫申科在他父母家的后花园拍摄下了这些照片。

他说："我小时候最喜欢的事就是呆在后花园里观察蜥蜴。如果你对它们友好，它们就会对你友好。现在我给它们拍照它们也不会害怕。"

"但是我从没有想到蜥蜴竟然能够如此充满热情，乐于助人。雌蜥蜴掉下去的时候，雄蜥蜴跳下去抓住了她，这太不可思议了。"

对于献花的一幕，季莫申科说："我不是专家，不知道那到底是什么意思，不过看起来真的很像一只蜥蜴在向另一只蜥蜴求婚。"
