Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs's 7.7% stake in Walt Disney Co. has been transferred to a trust run by his widow, according to a securities filing Wednesday.

Mr. Jobs was Disney's largest shareholder at the time of his death in October. He acquired 138 million shares of the company when he sold his Pixar Animation Studios to Disney in 2006 for $7.4 billion.

Mr. Jobs, who was a member of Disney's board of directors, was a close friend and business partner to Disney chief executive Robert Iger, and Apple recently named Mr. Iger to its board.

According to filings, Mr. Jobs's shares were transferred to the Steven P. Jobs Trust, of whom his wife, Laurene Powell Jobs, is a trustee.
