POLICE in central China are distributing 12,000 cards with a wanted poster and offering a 20,000 yuan (US$2,9542) reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who allegedly killed his wife and two children.
A man surnamed Wei called police saying he found his 38-year-old daughter-in-law, 15-year-old grandson and two-year-old granddaughter lying dead at their rented house in Suizhou City, Hubei Province at 3pm last Thursday.
When Wei called the police, his wife surnamed Chen hanged herself to death with an electric wire in the room, reported Hubei Daily today.
After investigation, police launched a manhunt for Wei's son Wei Kejin, who was believed to be a major suspect.
Police distributed 12,000 cards printed with Wei's photo to local residents, promising up to 20,000 yuan for useful tip-offs.
The 38-year-old suspect was a welder at a local automobile factory, who wore blue jeans when he was last seen.
Police said the motive was still under investigation.
