The star brought 120,000 bottles of water and food worth one million yuan and he personally donated an additional 50,000 yuan to a local hospital while visiting injured earthquake victims in Deyang, one of the most seriously hit counties in Sichuan.
"Relief work and reconstructing our homeland is by no means easy, but we will always be here to help," the star said.
Jackie Chan's partner and friend, Jet Li arrived in Chengdu on May 17, leading a volunteer medical team from his One Foundation charity fund.
"I give my special thanks to those who donated through our online fund. From one yuan to thousands, every penny is a message of love from ordinary people," Jet Li said during a short interview after landing in Chengdu.
