A published report says the National Stadium, also known as the "Bird's Nest", will be open to host commercial activities after the Olympics and Paralympics.
According to the Beijing Evening Daily, the Bird's Nest will be open to the public during the Golden Week in October. Visitors only need to buy a ticket to get in. And the Stadium's first live concert is also expected to be held in October. The Bird's Nest needs 70 million yuan every year to run
smoothly.
Holding concert and sports activities, and exploring more commercial opportunities, will help the Stadium cover the costs or even turn a profit once the Olympic games are over.
