Self-taught Examination

Four years ago, we entered that university after 3 years' hard working in the senior high school. We were all associate degree students , many of us couldn't be undergraduate just because of 1-5 points. So when Mr. Wu came to ask us, "if you want to take part in the Self-taught Examination to get undergraduate diploma?" Most of us answered, "Yes, of course."

So we began our Self-taught Examination when we were freshmen.

There are 13 courses in all. That means we had to pass 2-3 courses each time if we wanted to end the Examination before graduation. We all selected Japan and Lexics these two subjects as our beginning.

We spent our leisure time in reciting Japanese words, grammar and the definitions on the Lexics. I must say that it was really not easy for us. You can imagine that how difficult it was to recite so many new words and definitions in short time, even the time was enough, it was boring to learn them by heart, wasn't it?

However, for the diploma, we should not give up, what's more, it was just the beginning.

I still remember the moment that the girls came back from the examination room to dormitory. We didn't feel unfixed, because we cared about another thing------score! Hehe.

We proceeded another course after ending one course. You know it is always easier to say than to do. Someone quitted it, someone often got 50s points, someone were luck to pass every course she had. We always complained that why we had to endure such boring books and terrible exams, we always cried out that we hated these, but in fact we just hollered, we continued our examinations as usually.

Before graduation two of my classmates ended the Self-taught examination, about 10 people had 1-3 courses left. Now, another 5 persons also passed it. The guys who have not passed it are making efforts, they will pass before long, I believe.

Yes, now though I see clearly that diploma is not the most important for your job, not everybody has to take part in the Self-taught examination, I am still proud of the efforts my classmates made or are making.

We all added a dish of flavoring to the life of college, making the memory so sweat.
