Clay tiger is produced in northwest China's Shaanxi province. The size can vary from 6 centimeters to 100 centimeters and is produced with clay in the paper mould.

The clay tiger use the white color as background and draw lines and then add color to it. It is mainly a head of the tiger with big ears, big mouth, wide forehead with a picture of peony flower or the Chinese Character of the "emperor". People draw pictures on ears and cheeks. It can be bird, flower or people. The flowers drawn could be pomegranate, citrus medica, peach flower, etc. They stand for different meanings. These decorations are symmetrical and obtain harmony at certain places. The clay tiger in the picture is brightly colored and filled with the atmosphere of luck and happiness.
