Show one picture of ad and introduce the title of the lesson--Advertising
Step2 Pre-reading
The teacher shows students some ads to enjoy and try to get some information about ads
Step3 Reading
1.Show some questions to the students to answer in about 6-7minutes and to understand the whole passage
1)What different reactions towards ads do people have?
2)What is the basic principle of advertising?
3)Why do advertisers work hard to attract people ’attention? And in order to do so, what would they better do?
4)How does
advertising help consumers and the companies?
5)What is the most important
function of advertising? And from ads, what information can consumers get?
6)Why do the governments use the ad campaigns?
7)How can consumers spot bad ads?
8)What is a “bait-and –switch” ads?
9)How can we protect ourselves from misleading ads?
