Step I Revision (3 mins)
Found out the sentences with Passive Voice in the two texts.
Step II Lead-in (5 mins)
On the Bb, you can find some sentences, which are also about Voices. Will you change them into Passive Voice or Active Voice?
1. Some of the cave paintings have been destroyed by air pollution.
2. Thousands of tourists visit the caves every year.
3. The
carbondioxide from their
breath is damaging the painting.
4. The number of visitors should be limited.
5. And we should build a website where people can look at the pictures and paintings.
Step Ⅲ Reading (3 mins)
Read the letter quickly, and get the answers to the following questions. 1. Who is the writer?
2. What is the
writer worried about? 3. What suggestions does the
writer make?
Step IV Pre-writing (7 mins)
Work in groups of 3, answering the questions by filling in the form. (P49)
Step V Writing (15 mins)
Ask individual Ss to answer the questions according to the form above.
