本单元主要是讲述世界上伟大的人物。通过学习他们的事迹,帮助学生树立信心和远大的理想。本节课学习海伦.凯勒的故事。学习被动语态,人物介绍的常用语。
2.教学目标
知识目标:
(1)掌握词汇:blind deaf sight courage greatly
(2)掌握句子:It made her blind and deaf.
She will be greatly missed.
能力目标:提高学生听、说、读、写及知识自学的综合能力。
情感目标:
(1)在学习中逐步培养学英语的兴趣。
(2)在学习中,敢于用英语表达自己的看法。
(3)乐于接触并了解异国的文化。
(4)通过小组活动培养合作精神,并通过互相评价激发学习兴趣。
文化意识:一些中外伟大人物的故事和生平。
3.重点和难点

难点: 掌握被动语态。

2.学情分析:
枯燥的话题很难提高学生的学习兴趣。在这节课,通过一个有趣的游戏——学生蒙上眼睛体会失明的感受,来激起学生的兴趣,让学生主动谈自己的想法和做法,学有所得。
3.教学方法:
本课采用任务型阅读教学方法,用一个游戏引出谈论的话题,提问、启发、讨论和归纳的教法,让学生易于接受教材内容,理解阅读内容,培养学生的语言运用能力。
4.教学过程:
StepⅠ Greet the whole class as usual.
StepⅡ Revision
In this unit we have
learned two great people,they are Albert Einstein and Yuan Longping.Today we will learn another famous person,and she is a disabled woman. Last unit , we have
learned a disabled woman , she is Jane.
Who can say something about Jane?
Ask a few students to answer the questions.
This step can know if the students have revised carefully.
Step Play a game
Today we will learn a famous woman.She is Helen Keller.Do you know her? Yes,she is a
writer and educator.She is also blind and deaf.Before
reading the text,let’s play a game.
Divide the students into small guoups.Take turns to cover their eyes and touch a thing.If they can feel it and describe it, how do they feel? If not,how do they feel?
Then in the class,each guoups reports their answers.
This step begins with a game,the students will be intrested in this lesson.And they will discuss actively.
Step Ⅲ Reading
Let the students read the text carefully and finish the passage.
