A:真的么? A: Lee, have you ever hired a housekeeper?
B: Of course. The "Auntie Zhang" you saw the last time you were over is our housekeeper.
A: Really? She didn't look like one at all, so I assumed she was your relative.
B: She's been with us for five years already. She's a very
amiable person, very good to us -- we just think of her as one of the family.
A: As a housekeeper, what are her main duties?
B: My parents are usually quite busy, so Auntie Zhang is
responsible for
virtually all the day-to-day stuff like shopping, cooking, doing the wash, cleaning house.
A: Wow, so her job is doing all the household chores?
B: Pretty much.
A: Having a
housekeeper may be nice, but I could never get used to it if there were a stranger in the house.
B: At first I couldn't get used to it either. But then one time I fell ill. My parents were hardly ever home, but
fortunately there was Auntie Zhang -- she was very caring and attended to my needs
continuously while I was in the hospital. I was especially moved, and from that time on I started to like her more and more, and more and more felt she was part the family.
A: Such a good
housekeeper is hard to find. You're really lucky!

willing to hire a nanny? Lesson Content: A: Xiao Li, do you have a nanny at home?

I was especially touched by what she did for me. Since then I started to like her more and more. I feel more and more she's a member of the family.
