跟朋友聚餐，听到很精彩的时候，就伸手握拳敲桌子。其实刚到德国的时候，还觉得用这种动作表示对说话人的感谢和鼓励挺疼的。
At dinner party with friends, I will use my fist to strike the table when hearing some wonderful remarks as I usually did in Germany. To tell the truth, I thought it was a kind of painful German way to show one's appreciation and encouragement to the speaker.

    在家处理垃圾的时候不由自主的拿出2个垃圾袋，非要分类放可回收的和不可回收的。结果拎到小区垃圾房后还是因为找不到不同的垃圾桶只好扔到一起。庆幸的是现在在旅游景点随处可见分类清楚的垃圾桶，相信小区里很快也会有的。 
As to disposing wastes at home, I can't help taking out two dust bags for the recyclable and the unrecoverable things, but this effort turned out to be unnecessary only after I find there is no sorted trash cans in the refuse collection room. Luckily, there are cans clearly classified everywhere at tourist spots, and I believe it won't take long before there are such sorted trash cans in the residential areas.

    除去几个数得着的大城市，德国其余的城市都不是很大，所以习惯了半个多小时内从城市的这头到了那头。回国这倒好了，刚回去那几天赴约老是迟到，还被误会成摆架子，想不郁闷都不行。其实国内建设速度飞快，很多地方新修了马路，新筑了大桥，缩短了好长的距离。去很多以前觉得奇远的地方现在也不过如此，而且用电瓶车非常灵活，又不用负担那么重的养车费用。
Except for a few named sizable cities, the other cities in Germany are not very big, and I was used to going from one end of the city to the other within half an hour or so. Contrary to this, when back in China, I was always late for appointments in the first few days. What was even worse—I was thus misunderstood as being haughty. It was not easy to stay unaffected by these disappointments. In fact, my hometown has been undergoing a fast development, and new roads and bridges have been built here and there, which greatly shorten the distance between two places. The especially faraway places I felt before seems not so far away, and traveling by electromobiles was highly recommendable since it was both flexible and economical.
