今天我起了个大早，跟姑姑一起去参加家委会组织的野外活动。
I got up very early today and joined my auntie to attend an outdoor activity organized by the Parent-Teacher Association. 
        经过一个多小时的车程后，我们来到了一片水稻田边。大人们领了手套和镰刀，飞快地割起了稻子。我看了一会儿，也学着他们的样子，拿起镰刀试着割起来。经过一会儿的练习后，我慢慢找到了诀窍：第一，要把镰刀放平；第二，稻子根部最好割；第三，镰刀根部最锋利。有了这三个诀窍，我干活儿的速度加快了。割完稻子后，我跑到导游姐姐身边，拿起毛笔，蘸上墨，在红纸上写下了"丰收"两个字，还签上了我的名字。
After more than one hour's drive, we arrived at a paddy field. The adults received gloves and sickles and began to cut rice. After watching them for a while, I began to imitate them and used a sickle to cut the rice. With some practice, gradually I found out the knack of using a sickle. First, the sickle should be placed horizontally. Second, the roots of rice are the easiest part to be cut off. Third, the end of a sickle is the sharpest part. Knowing this, I worked with much more efficiency. After finishing it, I went to our tourist guide. I took a writing brush with ink and wrote丰收(harvest) on a piece of red paper and then put my name near it. 
        之后，我们来到了菜园。大片大片的白菜和萝卜让我看呆了。正在这时候，只听见一个粗粗的声音喊道："每人拔一棵白菜，一个萝卜"。于是，我立刻行动了起来。因为萝卜是埋在土里的，看不见大小，所以我就随便拔了一棵，可惜我拔的这一棵特别小！
Then we went to a vegetable garden. I was amazed to see a large area of cabbages and radishes. At the moment, I heard a rough voice, "Each one pull out one cabbage and one radish." I moved at once. Since all the radishes were buried in the soil and we could not see them, I just chose one at random. It was a pity that the one I pulled out was so small. 
        午饭过后，我们又来到了苹果园。看到又大又红的苹果，我忍不住流出了口水。我迫不及待地跑进了苹果园，看到一棵树下聚集了好多人，就跑过去凑热闹。一个同学的爸爸正站在树上帮大家摘苹果，我也连忙指了一个苹果，他马上就给我摘了下来。
After the lunch, we went to an apple orchard. Seeing big red apples, I cannot help drooling. I ran into the orchard and saw there were a lot of people standing under a tree, so I joined them. The father of one of my classmates was standing on the tree and picked apples for all the people. I pointed at one and he got it for me.
        今天我的收获可真大呀，我要把它们一个一个都带回家！
It is really a big harvest today. I will bring them all back home！
