字形：



"七"是"切"的本字，甲骨文的"七"字是十字形，像刀刻的痕迹，为了避免与"十"混淆，就把"七"的竖画改为曲笔。后来"七"演变为表示数字。
"七" is the original form of the character "切" , which on oracle bones inscriptions was in the shape of a cross, resembling marks carved by a knife. In order not to be confused with the character "十", the verticalportion of "七" was changed into a curved stroke. Subsequently, "七" came to mean the number seven.
