高考英语考点As 用法点拨
1． 用作介词，表示"作为； 当作"。如：
As a party member, I must be strict with myself． 作为一名党员，我必须严格要求自己。
He works in the school as a teacher of math．他是这个学校的一名数学老师。
2．用作连词。
1．）引导方式状语从句，意为"像；按照"。 如：
You must do everything as I asked you to．你必须做我让你做的。
2．）引导时间状语从句。意为"当......的时候"，从句的时态不可用将来时态。 如：
She sings as she walks． 他边走边唱。
He came just as I reached the door．我刚到门口，他就来了。
3．）引导原因状语从句,多放句首。如：
As it rained, I had to stay at home.由于天下雨了，我不得不呆在家里。
4．）引导让步状语从句，常用于倒装结构 。如：
Hard as he worked, he didn't pass this examination．尽管他学习很努力，但还是没有及格。
Child as he is, he knows a lot．虽然他是个孩子，知道的却很多。
5.)引导比较状语从句。
The pencil is as long as that one.这只铅笔与那只铅笔一样长。
3.用作关系代词，引导非限制性定语从句，在句首时，不能用which.如：
As we all know, the earth is round． 我们都知道，地球是圆的。
4.)用做副词，意为"和...一样地"。
I play basketball as well as him.我篮球打得与他一样好。
5.)用做代词，意为"这一点".
He is very careful, as his work shows.他工作很认真，这一点在工作中已显示出来。
6．用于一些固定搭配。如：
1.)as ．．． as．．． 与......相同的程度；与......等同
The dress is twice as expensive as that．这个裙子是那个价格的两倍。
2.)as if ／as though 似乎；好像
He behaved as if nothing had happened．他表现的像什么都没发生似的。
He rubbed his eyes and as though waking up after a long sleep．他揉眼睛似乎睡了好长时间刚醒似的。
3.)as well as 同（一样也）；和；还
On Sunday his landlady provided dinner as well as breakfast．在星期天，他的女主人提供早餐与晚餐。
4.)such．．．as 像......这样的；such as 例如
I bought a lot of fruits, such as apples, oranges, bananas and so on．我买了许多水果，诸如苹果、橘子、香蕉等等。
Such simple actions as eatingdrinking become difficult．
5.) as for 至于某人（某事物）
As for the hotel, it was very uncomfortable and miles away from the sea．
至于旅馆，很舒适并且距海有几英里。
6.) as to 关于某事物；提到某事物
As to correcting our homework, the teacher always makes us do it ourselves．关于改正作业，老师总是让我们独自完成。

She saved the money so as to support the family．为了养活家人，他节省钱的开支。

9.)as a result 结果 (发生某种情况)
As a result， he had been given an excellent job．结果，他有了一份很好的工作。
10.)as long as 只要
As long as you work hard, you will succeed sooner or later．只要你努力工作，你迟早会成功的。

12.)leave ...as it is照原样
Don't touch it, leave it as it is.别动，照原样放着。
