Grown at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens in Dorset, a Gunnera Manicata leaf is big enough for a whole family to join him underneath. It's believed to be the largest leaf in Britain with 11ft span.
The plant, native to Brazil, has been growing at the gardens for the last 30 years but its leaves this year are three feet longer than usual. It is believed the wet summer is responsible for the booming of the bog-loving behemoth.
Curator Stephen Griffith believes his leaves are the largest in Britain and the bounty is a bonus after last winter's cold weather caused serious harm to several plants.
Mr Griffith said visitors to the sheltered garden have been stunned by the size of the leaf. He said: "The damp cool summer we had has produced some enormous leaves, including this one that measures 3.3 metres across and could be a record breaker."
He added: "These plants will not grow much further north than here and we enjoy a micro-climate thanks to the shingle bank on Chesil Beach which shelters us from the elements."
When it is -3C here, it could be -10C in Dorchester just a few miles away.
This plant comes from Brazil and lives in bogs so it has enjoyed the wet conditions this year.

他补充道："再往北走，这些植物就无法生长，多亏了切瑟尔海滩上的粗砾沙洲为我们遮挡了风雨，我们这儿才有了这样的区域气候。"
当这里的气温还是零下3摄氏度的时候，不远处的多尔切斯特就能达到零下10摄氏度。这种原产自巴西的植物性生长在沼泽里，所以今年的湿润的气候条件非常适合它的生长。
