Topic: Tourism is bad for the environment
T: As we know, now the number of people who want to travel is larger and larger. Most of people travel for pleasure. So some people think travel is bad for the environment. Do you agree?

T: Of course, you can hold on to your own idea. Let’s have a short debate. What’s the positive and negative opinion? The positive?

T: What about the negative ones?

T: In short, the positive evidence is
1.People travel just for pleasure
2.Make the traffic heavy
3.Not keep the environment clean: throw rubbish on the ground; carve names on the trees etc. And the negative evidence is
1.Bring in money and people can use the money to take good care of the environment
2. People can enjoy themselves

T: Can you think out a kind of travel that can combine the pleasure with benefits?

T: I introduce a new kind of travel, that is, eco-travel. What is eco-travel? Do you know?
Ss:
T: Ecology is a scientific study of the relation of plants and living creatures to each other and to their sourdings.its Chinese meaning is “生态学”. Eco-system means “生态系统”. So we can see eco-travel is”生态旅游”.What’s the difference between normal travel and eco-travel?

S1: Eco-travel is a form of travel that combines normal tourism and learning
S2: Normal travel is simply for pleasure and is often bad for environment while eco-travel is a way of traveling responsibly to protect the environment and of finding out what can be done to help animals and plants as well as people.
T: yes, you are right. Now we have two eco-travel destinations. One is Red River Village and the other is Snow Mountain. (Show some pictures) which do you prefer?

Dear Mum and Dad.
We have just arrived in the hotel. We are unpacking our bags and we will go to the park this morning, we are going to have a picnic in it, eating sandwiches. In the afternoon we’ll go to the hotel to watch a movie.
Tomorrow morning, we will go to swimming first, and then go to play volleyball. After having lunch at the hotel, we’ll go for a walk. And in the afternoon, we will sing songs together. Don’t worry about me. I can look after myself well. I’ll write to you later when I have time.
