Invoices are documents that outline the charges for the sale of a product or a service rendered. Invoices are relatively simple documents, and are easy to write. However, invoices have to be clear, concise, and accurate. They often use charts or tables to show individual charges, and have very little text.
In this last unit, we will learn about writing invoices – both for products and services. Before you begin, think about the following question?
What information is needed on an invoice? •How much money is due? •How will the money reach the recipient?
Now take a look at the three exercises on invoices, all of which will prepare you for the writing activity.
