Stand by to be impressed if you are planning to visit Beijing in a few years' time. Work has started on the city's new airport, which, when it opens in 2017, will be able to handle an
impressive 130 million passengers a year, almost 40 million more than Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta, which is said to be the world's busiest airport at present.
The new airport, located at Daxing, about 50 kilometers south of Beijing's city center, will have eight runways and
access to a
comprehensive network of ground transport, including high-speed trains and inter-airport trains.
