China-born actress Bai Ling was arrested for stealing in a shop at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday.
China News Service quoted a police officer as reporting that Bai was held by police when she attempted to steal a magazine and some batteries worth only 16 US dollars.
Jim Holkom, an airport police officer, said Bai Ling would be set free after attending a trial on March 5, but she will be blacklisted for the theft.
The actress went to Hollywood for her movie ambition in 1991. She performed supporting roles in some movies over the past years, including in The Crow, Wild Wild West, and Anna and the King.
