Step I Revision
T: Hello, everyone. First, let’s translate some sentences to review the important sentences of Unit 19.
T: 虽然他考试又没及格，但是他决不放弃。

It was in the street that the girl was missing .

Step II Lead in
T: We often watch CCTV on Chinese New Year’s Eve. There are some very funny comedians. The shows are for everybody. It is easy to make everybvoy laugh because they are humourous.Today we are going to learn Unit 20 Humour（幽默）. In this unit, we’re going to learn something about some comedies, clowns, comedians—word play(文字游戏).
Step III Warming up
T: Now please practisesaying tongue twisters on Page 50.
Try to speak them faster.
Divide the class into three groups. Each group choose one tongue twister and practisesaying it. Then let each group choose some students representing their group to speak out the tongue twister in front of the class. Let the students judge which group speak fastest without making mistakes.
Ss work in pairs.
T: OK, stop here. Now Group 1, who’s your leader? Please stand up and speak out your tongue twister.
All the students laugh and applaud.
T: OK, well done. It’s your turn, Group 2.

Step IV Speaking
