场外市场的中文解释

英文Over the Counter的缩写，指交易商私下直接议价的交易方式，以区分透过交易所的集中市场进行买卖的交易方式。在场外市场，交易商通过电话及电脑网络，而不是交易所的系统进行交易。与交易所不同的是，场外市场没有向其他市场参与者自动披露交易价格的机制，而且可以进行非标准化的交易。债券买卖主要透过OTC市场进行，远期合约、互换(swaps)以及特殊的金融衍生工具(exotic derivatives)亦然。

OTC的英文解释

A market conducted directly between dealers and principals via a telephone and computernetwork rather than via an exchange trading floor. Unlike an exchange there is no automatic disclosure of the price of deals to other market participants, and the deals and traded instruments are not standardized.
