Ahead of Mother's Day, the International Aid Organization and its campaign Save the Children, scored 164 countries based on health, education and economic conditions for women and children.
According to the report,Norway is the best place in the world to be a mother, while Afghanistan is the worst
Norway stood at the top of the list for its low maternalmortality rate, top-notch medical care, and its maternity leave, which is among the most generous in the world. Norwegian moms receive a full year of paid leave and have only a 1 in 175 chance of losing a child before the age of five.
In contrast, Afghan women have a life expectancy of 45 years and one of every 11 women die at labor. Also, one out of five children in the country does not live up to age five.
The 10 best places to be a mother are: Norway, Australia, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, and France.
The 10 worst places to be a mother are: Afghanistan, Niger, Guinea-Bissau, Yemen, Chad, DR Congo, Eritrea, Mali, Sudan, and the Central African Republic.

排名榜首的挪威,母亲死亡率低,医疗技术先进,产假也很宽松,母亲们可以享受整整一年的带薪休假。据统计,175名挪威母亲中只有一人的孩子在5岁之前夭折。

排名垫底的国家是阿富汗,女性平均寿命仅为45岁,11名妇女中就有一人在分娩中丧生,1/5的儿童在5岁前夭折。
 

排名前10位的国家包括挪威、澳大利亚、冰岛、瑞典、丹麦、新西兰、芬兰、比利时、荷兰和法国。

排名最靠后的10个国家中除阿富汗和也门外,还包括尼日尔、几内亚比绍共和国,乍得、刚果、厄立特里亚、马里、苏丹以及中非共和国。
